I joined JLAP because I believe that a knowledge of basic rights is an essential part of establishing the trust in the legal system on which democratic societies depend for their survival. This is a great opportunity for me to contribute to that effort in the small way that I can, while also developing my own research and communication skills and gaining an insight into how another common law jurisdiction operates.
