I want to provide a robust voice for those who are unable to actuate this basic human right. It was for this reason I chose to join the JLAP programme, along with my legal studied, to enhance my practical skills and human right advocacy skills. Whilst on an exchange to China, I observed government censorship and the role it plays within society. Such an experience allowed me to appreciate the fundamental human rights of freedom of speech associated to political will that is often taken for granted in our country. Thus, I wish to communicate with various communities to help provide this necessity.
